Sad Day

I am heartbroken and can hardly breath thinking about this tragedy.  My heart goes out to every person and family involved.  I am holding my babies a little bit tighter and I am giving them more random kisses and snuggles than usual.

My children know nothing of this sad and tragic shooting.   When they are older and they are exposed to disasterous events that unfortunatly will surely happen I will point out the helpers.  I came across this wonderful quote yesterday……

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.” — Mister Rogers

I feel totally helpless but want to do something, anything.  I am having the children create some art today.  I plan on mailing their art to the these families that have lost their precious children.  If you would like to send something here is the address:  Sandy Hook Elementary School 12 Dickenson Drive Sandy Hook, CT 06482.

I am sending positive thoughts filled with peace and love to everyone affected by this tragic event.
