Here is my May 2016 in pictures post, watch out I am catching up! Just like in April a lot of fishing occurred. It is a good thing that we are surrounded by water! We also had new additions to our family and even fostered a few critters until they could be released back into the wild. Here is our May 2016 in pictures….
May 2016 in Pictures
The girls have fallen in love with ballet. They take classes at such a neat place, you never know what you will find there. On this day it was a baby goat.
We all had a blast at a local fairy festival. We spent the morning making fairy gardens, looking at amazing fairy gardens, and crafting with friends. This day needs it’s very own post!
Our garden is in full bloom, the sunflowers tower over Audrey now! She is holding our first rose.
Speaking of the garden….
There are several milkweed plants growing in our garden for the monarchs. One morning while pulling weeds I noticed a few wasps on my milkweed. I came in and read a bit and realized that the paper wasps were eating my monarch babies! I am all for the food chain but I wanted a few monarchs to have a chance at survival.
I cut several leaves that had eggs on them. I also shared with friends, I mean B is for butterfly is great for learning at home!
It was amazing how tiny the caterpillars could be! Those dots are dots of sand & dirt on the leaf….
There were so many caterpillars!
Most of them became monarch butterflies and were released in our garden.
The kids and I loved this experience!
New Family Members
After seeing the kittens at my grandma’s house on our road-trip last month the kids had kitten fever. Since I am sucker mom, these are the newest members of our family. Sam and Lila.
They love to cosleep so they fit right in!
In May we went on a super cool field trip to our county’s CSI center. We all learned a bunch on this field trip. Audrey enjoyed finding fingerprints in the CSI van.
After the field trip we explored the nearby wetlands. We saw a bunch of alligators!
All three kids are still super interested in fishing. It is a good thing that we are surrounded by water, it provides plenty of fishing opportunities!
At the river….
At the inlet….
And at the beach…..
We really do live in paradise!
After a day of fishing it is always fun to jump into the pool to wash off and have fun.
Disney blackout days are coming near so we had to take a trip to Epcot before the summer break. To infinity & beyond!!!
We ended the month with and end of school year party with our homeschool friends at a local pool. All of the kids loved the diving board!
I can’t forget snow cones at Founders Day!
May was a super fun month. Stay tuned to see what summer has in store for us!
