Weeks 33 – 36
(August 10, 2014 – September 6, 2014)
I am really trying to catch up on these posts (this seems to be a trend, doesn’t it!).
While looking through photos of these four weeks to include in this post I realized how truly grateful I am to stay at home with my kids. Keeping our kids and myself home are a priority in our family and making this a priority isn’t always easy. Our decision to homeschool comes with sacrifices. My husband spends time away from us for work to make this possible (talk about a sacrifice!) and I try to cut corners whenever & wherever I can. I know that our sacrifices are worth it and while looking back through photos I realize how REALLY worth it they are…..
I’m not going to share any ‘learning’ for these weeks but I will share a bunch of loving.
Most kids headed back to school today, not us, we hit the zoo!
Dinner & play at the river, you can’t go wrong!
Morning at the beach, breathtaking!
Alex fencing, he loves it!
Happy Birthday Alex, I cannot believe you are 9 years old.
I told Alex that his daddy couldn’t make it home for his birthday but would make it for his party in a few days. We headed to Disney to celebrate his birthday.
After an afternoon at Epcot we took a break in our room. The door opened unexpectedly and it was daddy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX (he was still in shock in this photo)!
Alex’s birthday bliss (besides daddy) was the Lego store. He saved a bunch of money and left with a big bag of Lego’s.
Birthday dinner at Rainforest Cafe, Audrey is in deep thought.
Finally back home, together as a family (what could be better?), and a very awesome Lego creation.
