My kids really enjoy looking at photos from the past. They click on my Mamatography link for memories. I told the that this year I will create a monthly wrap up of our life in photos.
So, here it goes! January 2019: Our Life in Photos!
We live in a coastal town. We are actually on a barrier island situated between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. So, it makes sense that we LOVE the water and spend a lot of time there…even in January!
We are pretty certain that this is our tree…
This kid has always loved digging. I can remember when his shovel was bigger than him.
Different day, different hole! Stoked that they hit water….
The beach is always fun with friends!
It was COLD! I was bundled up on the beach.
Alex has a passion for fishing and is a very successful fisherman. He caught his first ‘big’ fish when he was 4 years old and the fish was nearly the same size as him. When I say he caught it, I mean he hooked it, set the hook, and reeled it in all on his own. He is an angler by nature.
Big fish, little Alex……
Fast forward, he is now 13 and would fish every single day if possible. These are a few of his January catches.
His very first flounder.
He caught this bass in a small pond during a homeschool park day. Crazy!
I really like this shot!
Alex has taken his fishing passion to a new level by building his own rod. He spent so much time researching the how-to, how-much, and where to purchase. I was insanely impressed and took him to an awesome store, Mud Hole, just outside of Orlando where he purchased his goods and began his project. He also finished his project and caught a TON of fish on his handmade rod!
This month I am really lacking in any ‘homeschoolish’ photos. I only have two.
Audrey at homeschool P.E. 🙂
And this awesome field trip to Chocolate Kingdom!
We enjoy down time as well. Creating, building, crafting, playing, and even swimming in a FREEZING pool!
It was COLD!
I know it is awful, but once a year they get silly string.
I’m pretty sure they craft daily, but I really loved this backgrounds for their horses!
Safety first! Alex was pulling them around the house in a basket. It was extreme!
They had a jumping good time at a homeschool meet up at Planet 3 Extreme Air Park with friends.
Space Coast Living
This was a great night…walking, I mean running outside to see the International Space Station go over our home. That is it passing over the moon. WOW!
And, there is always Disney. I truly was not going to renew our (weekday, resident) passes, but I recently discovered all of the gluten-free yummies that are offered at the parks and resorts. For Audrey, who has celiac disease, we are renewing another year so she can enjoy the food. Of course, we will all enjoy the fun as well!
The only snowman they get to see!
I seriously love the army men.
In My Kitchen
I have an abundance of greens from my CSA so I decided to dehydrate them to sprinkle on pretty much everything!
Delicious cabbage for sauerkraut!
Check out the color difference in these two bone broths that I made!
The one on the left is from chickens from Mt. Citra Farm and the one of the right is store-bought…crazy!
Our critters are in a few pics as well, I cannot leave them out!
I am pretty sure that Sam doesn’t realize how big he is. If our napkin basket runs low it is one of his favorite places to lounge.
This boy and his dog…it’s love.
